After a long search for treatment for his complaints, upon the recommendation of his relatives, Mr. Stanimir Kazakov from the city of Sliven, Bulgaria contacted our hospital. He shared with us his complaints, including a feeling of loss of strength in the arms and legs, neck pain, and limited range of motion. Based on the conducted conversations and previously sent medical records, the patient was invited to our hospital for detailed examination and treatment.
A week later, Mr. Kazakov arrived at our hospital and his case was taken over by Op. Dr. Abdullah Temizkan – Specialist in Neurosurgery. After a detailed physical examination, additional investigations such as MRI and Computed Tomography were ordered. Based on the results of the conducted investigations, spinal stenosis at 3 levels in the cervical section of the spine was identified.
Dr. Abdullah Temizkan was of the opinion that in this case it was necessary to perform a Laminoplasty at 3 levels in the cervical section of the spine. After detailed explanations regarding the surgical procedure itself and the expected benefits, with the patient consent, the hospitalization and preoperative preparation stage began.
After a successfully completed surgical procedure, our patient was returned to our surgical department to rest and was mobilized the next day in the presence of his attending physician. After three days of monitoring the postoperative recovery of the patient, Mr. Kazakov was discharged from our hospital without pain and in good general condition.
One week later, our patient visited for a follow-up examination. It was a great joy for us to see the positive change in his physical condition.
The entire team of Corlu Vatan Private Hospital wishes Mr. Kazakov and his family a life filled with much health and happy moments.
