Leave the Pain Behind You!

Mrs. Miglena Ivanova from the city of Stara Zagora contacted our international patient department through social media. She shared with us that for some time she had been experiencing progressive pain in the lower back and left leg area. After the conducted conversations, Mrs. Ivanova was invited to our hospital for a physical examination and investigations.

Upon the arrival of our patient at the hospital, her case was taken over by Dr. Abdullah TEMIZKAN – Specialist in Neurosurgery. After a detailed physical examination and investigations including MRI, Mrs. Miglena Ivanova was diagnosed with a disc herniation at the L5-S1 level of the spine, and the details regarding the necessary surgical intervention in this specific case were clarified. The patient was recommended the "Lumbar Discectomy" procedure by microsurgical method.

Mrs. Miglena Ivanova gave her consent for the proposed treatment and was hospitalized on the same day, after which preoperative preparation began. The surgical procedure was successfully performed the next day, with the intervention carried out through only a 3-centimeter incision, and a few hours after the operation our patient was mobilized in the presence of her attending physician. After one day of monitoring her condition, our patient was discharged from our hospital in good general condition without pain or complaints.
