Miss Atidze Terziyska from the Republic of Bulgaria came to the International Patients department of Corlu Vatan Private Hospital. Her complaints were rooted in a congenital anomaly of the bone in the frontal area of the skull. Our patient shared with us that she had been operated on in early childhood and today her complaints were mainly related to the aesthetic appearance of the affected area. After detailed conversations, Mrs. Terziyska was invited to our hospital, and the necessary arrangements for her visit were made.
Miss Terziyska case was taken over by Dr. Oguz YOZEL – Specialist in Neurosurgery, with many years of experience in the field of Cranioplasty.
After our patient arrived at the hospital, she was greeted by our Bulgarian-speaking interpreters from the International Patients department, who were constantly by her side during all examinations and investigations. After detailed investigations and Computed Tomography, a decision was made to harvest bone tissue from the patient hip joint and implant it in her frontal area. At the patient request, the necessary arrangements for the date of the intervention were made during this visit.
Our patient was hospitalized the day before the planned operation date, and preoperative preparation began. After detailed investigations, examinations, and a consultation with an Anesthesiology and Reanimation specialist, it was determined that there were no medical obstacles to performing the intervention, and the procedure itself commenced.
After the completion of the several-hour operation, the patient was returned to our surgical department to rest, and a few hours later she was visited by Dr. Yozel. The doctor explained in detail the procedures performed during the operation and the details of the postoperative period.
Miss Terziyska was our guest for three days, after which she was discharged in good general condition, happy and without pain.
Upon her discharge, our patient expressed her gratitude to Dr. Oguz YOZEL and his entire team. She shared: "You made my greatest dream come true. I am infinitely grateful for your dedication, attitude, and the care provided. I will never forget the understanding and attention shown to me by all of you."
