Of course, the greatest value we have is our health…
Due to its vital importance, healthcare services cannot compromise on the rights and responsibilities of individuals.
We believe that every person living in society, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, social, physical or mental condition, has rights that must be respected, as well as responsibilities towards the environment and other people.
Only by observing and respecting rights and responsibilities can we create a healthy and happy environment.
When you come to our healthcare facility to protect, maintain or restore your health, we are aware that you encounter procedures you do not encounter in your daily life.
We respect and honor the rights of all patients and their relatives who visit our hospital for healthcare services, and we expect them to fulfill their responsibilities as well.
With the principles established by the Mission, Vision and Core Values of our hospital; the European Declaration on Patient Rights (Amsterdam 1994), the World Medical Declaration (Bali 1995) and the Patient Rights Regulation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey (Official Gazette, 1998), we share with you the PATIENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES that we have prepared:
All patients admitted to our hospital, regardless of their beliefs and social status, have the right to benefit from all healthcare services provided in our hospital.
Our patients and their relatives always have the right to receive healthcare services in a respectful, gentle, compassionate, and friendly environment where their individual dignity is protected.
Our patients or their legal guardians have the right to request a copy of documents containing complete and up-to-date information related to all diagnostic and treatment processes, as well as the possible course of the disease, and to review them.
Our patients have the right to contact their attending physician directly upon emergency admission to our hospital.
Patients who do not understand the official language have the right to request an interpreter who understands their language throughout the duration of their treatment.
Patients have the right to be informed about their illness, treatment, risks and benefits, or alternatives and to participate in decision-making.
Once the patient exercises this right, they are considered to have accepted the routine procedures. In EMERGENCY CASES, patient consent is not required for medical intervention.
Patients have the right to voluntarily participate in educational and scientific research.
No person may be subjected to medical intervention without their consent. If the patient is unable to give consent and urgent medical intervention is required, the consent of their legal representative is sought, except in cases of medical necessity.
Patients have the right to refuse planned treatment. If the patient refuses treatment, the physician explains the possible consequences of the refusal and obtains a personally signed document from the patient confirming that they have understood what the doctor has explained.
If the patient has signed a document refusing treatment, their relationship with the institution is terminated.
A patient who has previously refused treatment has the right to be readmitted to the hospital and receive treatment. In this case, the necessary examination and treatment will be carried out within the capacity and possibilities of the institution.
Patients have the right to request a detailed and clear receipt/invoice for the healthcare services received at the facility.
Patients have the right to have visitors and companions to assist them during examinations, tests, and treatment.
Patients and their relatives receiving healthcare services at our hospital have the right to choose the services and options related to their treatment. They have the right to learn about, choose, and change the institution, attending physician, and medical professionals assisting in their treatment.
Patients have the right to benefit from religious services within the framework of hospital rules.
The patient or their companion has the right to bring a religious official according to their religious needs.
Patients, including visitors, have the right to refuse to speak with or see individuals who are not directly involved in their treatment, to request an environment that ensures visual and auditory confidentiality at all points of service, and to protect the confidentiality of their medical information even after death.
This information is disclosed to the relevant authorities in accordance with the explicit consent of the patient or their heirs or by court order. Unless there is a medical necessity, information may not be disclosed to anyone.
Patients and their relatives receiving healthcare services from our hospital have the right to file complaints regarding medical care and the treatment process and to request a response.
Our patients have the right to file complaints with the Patient Rights Department in our hospital, without prejudice to their right to apply to the relevant professional organizations and courts in accordance with Law No. 6023. If complaints cannot be resolved within the hospital, our patients have the right to apply to the highest local administrative authority where the healthcare facility is located. Our patients have the right to apply to the judiciary within their legal rights.
Patients have the responsibility to comply with the generally accepted rules and practices of the healthcare facility.
If the established rules and practices are not followed despite warnings, the patient will be informed that they may be discharged from the healthcare facility with the approval of the attending physician and the relevant administrator.
They are required to obtain a declaration signed by the patient stating that
they will comply with the rules.
Patients must respect and observe the rights of other patients and hospital staff. In cases that threaten hospital patients, such as noise, excessive number of visitors, etc., the rules of the healthcare facility must be followed.
Our patients must provide accurate and complete information about their previous medical history, current complaints, treatments received, medications used, changes in their condition, and any infectious diseases that may put healthcare workers at risk, and they must inform them whether they have correctly understood what is expected of them in the procedures to be undertaken.
Our patients must inform the healthcare facility of any changes made to their personal data (name, surname, phone number, address, etc.).
Patients must follow the recommendations of the attending physician, nurses, and healthcare staff once they have accepted the prescribed treatment.
Patients are responsible for the consequences if they refuse treatment or do not follow the instructions of the attending physician.
Patients must compensate for all damages or losses they cause to hospital equipment or supplies as a result of improper use or intentional damage.
Patients must receive their companions and visitors within the rules established by the healthcare facility.
Patients must adhere to their scheduled appointment times or inform us in advance if this is not possible.
