Your personal awareness of your treatment plan and active participation in the treatment will help you leave the hospital faster and more safely.
Inform your doctor and nurse about all types of medications you use and have brought with you when admitted to the hospital and hand them over.
For your safety, the medications you take must be confirmed by a doctor and pharmacist.
These medications include pills prescribed with or without a prescription (such as aspirin or cough syrup), vitamins, and dietary supplements.
If you know you have an allergic reaction to food and/or medications, report this to your doctor and nurse. It is very important to know which medications you use and what you use them for. For this reason, we ask you to track the medications you use during your stay at the hospital.
Your personal participation in the treatment process is very important so that you know what is being done and why. For this reason, talk to your attending doctor and nurse about the treatment and care plan.
Make sure you understand the treatment; do not hesitate to ask if you do not understand something.
If you are scheduled for a procedure, request information from your attending doctor about the operation.
If you are in pain, consult the nurse and doctor.
Proper hand washing is the most important prerequisite for preventing infections. For this reason, sinks are installed in all patient care areas and hospital rooms where hands can be washed.
If the patient has a probe, catheter, bandage, etc. on their body, try to keep them dry and clean. If redness, pain, discharge, moisture, or damage to the bandage appears in these areas, be sure to inform the nurse or doctor.
Depending on the type of infection, wearing a mask, gloves, and gown may be required to protect other patients and working staff. Visitor access to these patients may be restricted.
Regarding such situations, the doctor and nurse will inform you about the precautionary measures that need to be taken.
