Our patient Mr. Mehmet Kara, 68 years old, came to our hospital with complaints such as frequent headaches, spatial disorientation, and speech disorders. After a detailed physical examination by Dr. Oguz YOZEL – Specialist in Brain and Neurosurgery, and additional investigations including MRI, a brain tumor measuring 4x3 cm was identified. Based on the current condition, the patient was recommended surgical intervention for the removal of the existing tumor mass. After detailed explanations regarding the planned surgical approach, expected benefits and risks, Mr. Mehmet Kara gave his consent to undergo the corresponding intervention, and then the process of hospitalization and preoperative preparation began. After the necessary preparation was completed, a consultation with an Anesthesiology and Reanimation specialist was conducted, during which it was determined that there were no medical obstacles to performing the intervention. The surgical procedure, which lasted 3.5 hours, was performed by microsurgical method the day after the patient was hospitalized.
After the successfully completed intervention, Mr. Mehmet Kara was admitted to our neurosurgery department for postoperative monitoring, and just 3 hours later he was mobilized in the presence of Dr. Oguz YOZEL.
After three days of monitoring at our hospital, the patient was discharged in good general condition with significant improvements in the complaints he had reported before the operation. Upon his discharge, Mr. Mehmet Kara expressed his gratitude to Dr. Oguz YOZEL and the entire hospital team. We also thank him for trusting us and choosing us for his treatment.
The entire team of Corlu Vatan Private Hospital wishes Mr. Mehmet Kara and his entire family a life filled with health and many happy moments.
