We Continue to Treat Our Patients with Microsurgical Interventions!

Our patient, Mrs. Emetullah Altinel (77 years old), had been unable to walk more than 10 meters even with support for many years. Mrs. Altinel visited Op. After the physical examination and radiological investigations (MRI), her diagnosis was confirmed and her operation was scheduled for the following day.

Our patient arrived at the hospital on the morning of the operation day. Mrs. Altinel and her companion were given the necessary COVID-19 tests. After the test results came back, preoperative preparation for the intervention began. The patient was hospitalized in the surgical department, where all precautionary measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic had been taken.

After the preoperative preparation was completed, our patient was admitted to the operating room and underwent Microsurgical Spinal Stenosis Decompression without Implant (Screw) Placement. The intervention was performed through a 2-centimeter incision and lasted two hours.

After the successfully completed intervention, our patient was returned to her room to rest. Approximately three hours after the intervention, the patient was mobilized in the presence of Dr. Oguz YOZEL, and already then Mrs. Altinel shared with us that the pain she had before the operation had completely disappeared. After one day of postoperative hospitalization, our patient was discharged, walking independently without the need for additional assistance.
