Wertheim Radical Hysterectomy

Mrs. Imren Mehmet from Dobrich, Bulgaria, upon the recommendation of her relatives, contacted our International Patient Service Department. She shared with us that she had initially sought medical help at the nearest healthcare facility regarding her complaints, such as pain in the groin area and others. After a physical examination and detailed tests including a biopsy, the patient was diagnosed with "Uterine Cancer (Endometrial Carcinoma)", after which Mrs. Imren Mehmet decided to seek a second opinion on the diagnosis. Upon the recommendation of her relatives, she decided to turn to Corlu Vatan Private Hospital.

After conversations and the necessary arrangements for her visit, the patient arrived at our hospital. The physical examination of Mrs. Imren Mehmet was performed by Assoc. Prof. Erson AKSU - Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecological Endoscopic Surgery Specialist. After a thorough physical examination, it was decided that a contrast MRI was necessary. After analyzing the data from the physical examination and the additional tests, the patient diagnosis was confirmed, and our specialist opinion was that in this case it was necessary to perform the surgical intervention "Wertheim Radical Hysterectomy" using the laparoscopic method. After being informed in detail about her current condition and the necessary treatment, Mrs. Imren Mehmet decided to trust Assoc. Prof. Erson AKSU for her treatment. Our patient was hospitalized on the same day, after which the preoperative preparation began.

The surgical intervention was successfully performed the next day, after which our patient was under observation in our hospital for 3 days. After the completion of monitoring, the necessary arrangements were made for the follow-up examination and she was discharged from the hospital in good general condition without pain or complaints.

Ten days after the intervention, Mrs. Imren Mehmet visited us for a follow-up examination and shared her sincere gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Erson AKSU and the entire hospital team for the care provided.
